Nigena Livingston is a vision leader who specializes in holistic approaches to learning. Her leadership reflects a deep belief in the power of relationships, strong culture, and intentional systems to create environments where students and educators alike can flourish. She is most passionate about creating environments where students feel safe, are academically challenged, experience joy and have agency in their learning.
Nigena started The Living Education Access Project, to work with district leaders, principals, and teachers across the United States in all sectors including urban, rural, public, private, and charter, to support them in navigating the complex demands of our educational system. She is known for helping leaders think thoughtfully and find ways to bridge their vision and execution to strengthen their school communities. Her work connects purpose and philosophy to real world application while honoring each individual’s identity, lived experiences, strengths and values.
Nigena is an award-winning educator with over twenty years of experience in teaching, coaching, and leading schools. With experience as a school leader in multiple states, Nigena has a diverse background in education giving her a broad perspective on the challenges and opportunities that shape schools across different communities.
